GrimmSpeed designed this Turbo Heat Shield to help keep your engine temps down no matter what combination of up pipe, downpipe or EWG setup you are using. This heat shield is the only one currently on the market designed to work with all other setups, including downpipes up to 4 inches in diameter, external wastegate and dump pipe combos and aftermarket turbochargers. During testing this GrimmSpeed Heat Shield was shown to reduce under hood temperatures by over 20 degrees Fahrenheit in many areas including intake air ambient temperature. This evidence shows that the GrimmSpeed Turbo Heat Shield is a great upgrade that can improve engine longevity and performance!
Installation is a simple bolt on process that does not require removal of the intercooler or turbocharger. Two of the OEM heat shield brackets must be reused (Subaru part numbers: 44021AA014 and 14427AA022).
