HKS Adjustable Cam Gears allow camshaft timing to be fine tuned in order to optimize performance and power delivery. These precision gears can be used in conjunction with aftermarket or stock camshafts to tailor the engine's powerband to the ideal RPM range. Easy to read marks are precision laser etched into the face and outer ring of the gear at two degree increments as well as "A" and "R" markings to indicate advancement or retardation of cam timing. Adjustment range allows plus or minus 20 degrees from zero (although actual adjustment range will be affected by camshaft choice, piston choice and combustion chamber volume). The HKS cam gears are constructed out of lightweight A2014 Duralumin (anodized in HKS signature purple) and the cam teeth are nickle plated for additional strength.
