IMPORTANT: You must have specific TEIN coilovers or EnduraPro Plus shocks/struts to use this EDFC 5 system. Please choose the application that matches your Subaru Impreza and the type of TEIN coilovers or shocks/struts you have. Also, our prices include everything you need: the TEIN EDFC Pro Controller Kit, Motor Kit (including wiring), and Strut Kit (when applicable).

The TEIN EDFC 5 is the latest version of the TEIN EDFC kit with the newest and best features. The TEIN EDFC 5 makes it possible for a driver to control the damping force of TEIN coilovers or shocks without ever leaving the driver's seat! The EDFC 5 consists of a central control unit and 4 separate motors that fit over each shock / strut on your Subaru Impreza. Since the damping force can be manually controlled with ease to meet different road conditions, the driver can enjoy variations in the suspension setting. The EDFC 5 includes all the benefits of the EDFC Active Pro and more, including sudden jerk automatic adjustment, which gives additional comfort and safety on bumpy or uneven roads. The EDFC 5 kit also adds AI (Artificial Intelligence) adjustment based on your driving habits! The kit attempts to automatically adjust from very jerky driving conditions to normal conditions (or to low or smooth conditions). The EDFC 5 has better overall control over the motors, allowing for quieter operation, while not affecting the speed of the actuation. One of the best features of the EDFC 5 is wireless control. This reduces the amount of wires going to each shock and makes installation much easier and quicker to do. The EDFC 5 provides a high level of control over your ride quality and control that it becomes a true game changer when it comes to suspension upgrades.

Key Features:
  • Recently re-designed with a host of new improvements, including smaller motors, simplified installation, and more.
  • Change your TEIN shock damping settings from inside your car. You can choose different stiffness levels for all four individual shocks!
  • The built in G-Sensor from the EDFC Active Pro is carried over to the EDFC 5, with even more features added.
  • As in the Active Pro, two additional input ports for external signals to preset for different conditions such as drifting, slippery conditions, or other situations.
  • Sudden jerk sensors are added, which helps control sudden movements, uneven roads, or even normal conditions.
  • An AI (Artificial Intelligence) learning option is integrated to allow the unit to automatically adjust for different driving conditions and even help smooth out your driving habits.
  • The updated display is easier to see even in direct sunlight. Still color-adjustable (262K colors).
  • Revised control over the motors helps reduce noise from the motors activating by one third!
  • Speed sensitive automatic dampening adjustment (with the optional GPS Controller Kit).
  • Motor driver units, located at front and back of the car, and controller unit are now connected wirelessly, to reduce troublesome extra wiring during installation.
  • Memory and recall functions for up to 10 different damping settings. This allows you to dramatically change your Subaru Impreza's behavior with the push of a single button.
  • 16 to 96 levels of damping force adjustment.
  • Allows adjustment of each individual strut.
  • Motors come with all wiring (including complete extended harnesses) and sealed rubber motor covers for added protection.
  • Compact in size. It can be installed in a position where you can easily operate it.
  • Self-checking warning systems.
  • Lock function: operation of both buttons and dial can be locked to prevent operation mistakes.
  • Illumination for increased night visibility.
  • And more!

Optional GPS Controller Kit: The GPS receiver allows you to program different EDFC settings for different speeds. Imagine going for a drive and having the shocks nice and soft for cruising around your neighborhood, and they automatically stiffen up when you pick up speed on the highway or track. The GPS unit itself just plugs into the EDFC 5 and allows you to set adjustment points to automatically stiffen or soften the shocks based on your speed. This way the car will not be bouncy on rough surface streets yet will still be stable and responsive under high speed driving. The GPS Controller Kit also allows for other functions in the EDFC 5, such as precise Vehicle Speed Display, Positional Coordinates Display, and Tripmeter.
