Traction is very important when off-roading, arguably more so than on the road. However, even with 4WD, it might not be enough to get you out of certain situations. Though many 4WD differentials already include some sort of LSD (Limited Slip Differential) system, a little extra can go a long way in getting you where you want to be. A locking differential prevents ANY slippage between the wheels and locks them to rotate exactly the same. This can go a long way in increasing traction and providing maximum torque to the wheels. An ARB Air Locker Differential for your Nissan Titan provides a convenient and easy way to lock your front and/or rear wheels without having to get out of the vehicle. Unlike older systems, where the lock has to manually be set on the diff itself, these new air locking diffs can be set from the cabin with the flip of a switch! In addition, the lock mechanism has a robust build design that allows it to be actuated at any speed. By using a clutch style pneumatically actuated side gear, it locks the spider gears from moving and creating a strong lock between both wheels. The internal gears are forged, ensuring they can handle the most demanding environments as well. An air locking differential is a must for those doing tough off-road experiences!
