ARB OME (Old Man Emu) BP51 and MT64 Shocks / Struts are a top-level bypass and monotube shocks / struts delivering reliable performance in a robust damper assembly, and capable of tackling the toughest adventures. Offered in one of two models, the BP51 or the MT64, these ARB off-road shocks are constructed with high-grade materials featuring 6061 aluminum external bodies, precision-ground hard-chromed piston shafts, high-performance oil, and pressurized nitrogen chambers separated by a floating anodized aluminum piston. They are well suited for use with factory height or lifted suspensions.

These exceptional dampers for your Toyota Land Cruiser are capable of maintaining on-road stability and greatly increasing off-road ability at any speed. Each BP51 and MT64 shock or strut is not just built to top standards, they are tuned for each vehicle application, featuring specific valving to maximize vehicle stability. This helps retain factory-like driving characteristics and can withstand the added weight of payloads as well. ARB OME MT64 Shocks / Struts Description:
    The ARB OME (Old Man Emu) MT64 shocks / struts are specially designed for the needs of overland heavy and extreme weight Toyota Land Cruisers and will endure tough terrain while retaining good ride quality and road stability. The massive 64mm bore (where the name is derived from) excels at heat dissipation, allows a larger oil capacity, and accepts a bigger piston. This combination provides massive weight load capacity while maintaining a refined ride. The adjustable spring perch provides not only ride height adjustment but increasing load capacity as well. The aerospace grade aluminum body dissipates heat faster than the standard steel options, while still maintaining durability. Digressive valving instantly reacts to changing surface conditions, and is velocity sensitive for ultimate control and feedback and any speed.

ARB OME BP51 Shocks / Struts Description:
    The ARB OME BP51 shocks / struts offer the ultimate in comfort and rugged suspension performance. Each 51BP shock / strut includes a 51mm internal bypass (where the name is derived from) and a reservoir for increased oil capacity. The bypass allows for position sensitive dampening. This dampening feature helps provide a smoother ride at normal height and will stiffen the dampening force at the extreme ends of the piston travel. This helps provide a stable ride as the suspension articulates over uneven roads, add to this the velocity sensitive piston valving and you have a damper that can handle terrains at any speed. In addition, a tethered external reservoir allows for increased oil capacity while housing a pressurized nitrogen chamber with a floating piston divider. The increased oil capacity and pressurized gas allow for stable dampening performance, even under demanding conditions where extreme heat can cause fluid cavitation and total loss of dampening control. And, unlike many other adjustable shocks/struts which adjust only compression force, these dampers allow for rebound force adjustment as well. This provides a wide range of adjustment to precisely dial in your preferred comfort and ride settings. For good measure, the thread adjustable spring perch collars allow you to set an exact ride-height and spring preload without having to remove the strut.

ARB OME BP51 & MT64 Shocks / Struts Model Features:

    • ARB OME Lift Springs are required for strut applications! These lift springs are included on some applications (as noted).

    • Internal bypass passages for position sensitive damping.
    • 51mm (2.0 in) piston bore, 22mm (7/8 in) piston shaft.
    • CNC machined 6061 caps and top mounts.
    • Precision Teflon-lined spherical bearings provide unmatched control and feedback.
    • External oil reservoir increases oil capacity.
    • Pressurized nitrogen chamber and floating piston reduce cavitation.
    • Externally adjustable independent compression and rebound dampening force.
    • Threaded spring perch collar for ride height and payload adjustment (on coilover applications).
    • ARB OME X5K Coil Springs are included with coilover applications as noted.

  • Standard Load: Factory weight / load to about 440 lbs over factory in vehicle accessories (or modifications).
  • Heavy Load: 440+ lbs over factory weight / load in vehicle accessories (or modifications).
