Sold in sets of 4 coilovers.
The TEIN Flex AVS coilovers are a unique design, specific to Lexus's AVS (Adaptive Variable Suspension) system. Most aftermarket coilovers are designed to manually have the dampers/shocks adjusted. However, many Lexus vehicles already have a built-in system that adjusts the dampers/shocks automatically. The TEIN Flex AVS coilovers take advantage of this system and directly interact with it to achieve automatic dampening adjustments via the OEM controls! The ride height setting still need to be manually adjusted, and these TEIN Flex AVS coilovers allow for full ride height adjustment without compressing the spring. The twin tube design maintains smooth operation while still offering a sporty feel. The built-in hydraulic bump stop dampens harsh bumps and potholes for an even smoother operation. The aluminum top mounts ensure these coilovers are easy to install, and also stiffen the overall suspension for maximum control. The TEIN Flex AVS coilovers are the perfect solution for those who want to retain the factory Lexus AVS system while still getting the added performance and flexibility of an aftermarket coilover system.
Key Features:
- Full-length adjustment and ride height adjustment for separate setting of the ride height and spring pre-load.
- Reuses the Lexus factory AVS (Adaptive Variable Suspension) system; no need to manually adjust the dampers/shocks (except for ride height).
- Newly designed TEIN "AVS Needle" technology makes it possible to provide better/broader dampening force adjustments within the operating angle of factory AVS actuator.
- Includes an internal hydraulic bump stop for smoother operation over harsh and uneven roads.
- ZT coated ride height adjustment thread for outstanding rust and damage prevention.
- Durable powder coating that does not peel or flake.
- Most applications will feature all 4 upper mounts (top mounts) for your vehicle. These upper mounts will give your suspension a more solid feel to it.
- 1 year manufacturers warranty against defects.
Ride Height Adjustment Notes: Normally, vehicle ride height is adjusted by reducing or increasing the pre-load on the coil spring. This method leads to inconsistent spring rates that are dependent upon the vehicle ride height. These coilovers allow you to adjust your vehicle's ride height independent of its spring pre-load. This method ensures that the spring rate is always consistent, no matter how high or low your car is. In addition, it ensures that the spring is always properly positioned onto the strut and effectively reduces miscellaneous and unnecessary noise.
Ride Height Lowering Ranges: All numbers quoted for front and rear lowering ranges are relative to the vehicle factory ride height. "(Positive)" before a number means than the coilover system upper adjustment limit is above (higher than) factory ride height.
