The pulley weight has been optimized to provide the perfect performance gain, without triggering false misfire CELs. To address reliability Perrin machines the pulley out of solid 6061 T6 aluminum and eliminated the rubber ring that is often the cause of pulley separation on OEM designs. Replacing the heavier OEM Crank pulley is a great starting point for newcomers and a great way to squeeze a bit more power out of those engines with heavy mods.
