Though many 4WD differentials already include some sort of LSD (Limited Slip Differential) system, a little extra can go a long way in getting you where you want to be. A locking differential prevents ANY slippage between the wheels and locks them to rotate exactly the same. This can go a long way in increasing traction and providing maximum torque to the wheels. By using a clutch style pneumatically actuated side gear, it locks the spider gears from moving and creating a strong lock between both wheels. The internal gears are forged, ensuring they can handle the most demanding environments as well. An air locking differential is a must for those doing tough off-road experiences!
