Hawk Performance has introduced a premium, high performance, ultra-low dust, low noise compound called High Performance Street (HPS) 5.0.

Pedal feedback, noise, brake torque and dust control were the main goals in designing the Hawk High Performance Street 5.0 brake pads. They are not a replacement for the current HPS brake pads product, but rather a change in the formulation that allows the driver to challenge themselves and their car with a new and unique driving feel.

High Performance Street (HPS) 5.0 brake pads reduce brake NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) and the Ferro-Carbon compound provides advanced braking characteristics to enhance the driving experience as well as cut down brake fade and improve pedal feel. With Performance Street 5.0 brake pads, you can also expect reduced pad / rotor wear and low dust output levels.

Key Features:
  • Increased stopping power.
  • Increased rotor life.
  • Improved pedal feel.
  • Extended pad life.
  • Low dust.
  • Very quiet.
  • High friction/torque, hot or cold.
  • Minimal fade even under high temperatures.
All Hawk Performance Performance Street 5.0 brake pads provide a limited lifetime warranty, ensuring products to be free of defects from manufacturer's workmanship and materials.

Notes on Applications: If an application references ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), then you need to check if your Mazda MAZDA2 has ABS. The easiest way to tell is by opening your hood and checking for a metallic box with a lot of metal lines coming out of it. This is the ABS unit. Also, for applications that reference rear brake pads, please check to make sure you have rear discs, not drums. To avoid brake imbalance, do not just upgrade the rear pads (purchase the front pads also).

Important Notes: For all new Hawk brake pads, we recommend following Hawk's Bed-In Procedure for maximum performance, which can be found in the brake pad instructions.
