ARB Air Locker Differentials require compressed air to activate them, and these ARB Air Locker Air Compressor Kits are the perfect tool for that task! Plus, these compressor kits are available in versions which allow a variety of other useful tasks to be done (inflating tires, running air tools, etc.). In fact, you don't need an ARB Air Locker Diff at all to enjoy the features and benefits of many of these compressor kits.
ARB air compressors, sometimes referred to as on-board compressors, feature exceptional quality to ensure maximum reliability. Each compressors is sealed for moisture and dust resistance, while also being compact and easy to mount on most vehicles. You'd be hard-pressed to find a more durable, higher performance air compressor kit anywhere else!
To best meet different use-case requirements, ARB offers three general different compressor types. Listed here are the different types of on-board compressors with accompanying details, starting from the lower flow rate compressor (only recommended for use with ARB Air Locker Differentials and not other tasks) to the higher flow rate models that can handle fast tire inflation, air tools, etc. in addition to ARB Air Locker Differentials.
- Air Locker Only Single Motor Compressor Kit: Catered specifically for just activating ARB Air Locker Differentials, this traditional single motor compressor is compact in size and draws minimal power, and is a simplified install. The targeted nature of this kit reduces its cost as well.
- Single Motor Compressor Kit: A high-output compressor ideal for activating ARB Air Locker Differentials, inflating tires, and performing other air functions as well (except for air tools). The compressor features internal thermal protection against extreme heat for continuous use, and provides quiet and smoother operation while providing excellent performance.
- Dual Motor Compressor Kit: These are maximum-performance systems. Similar to the Single Motor Compressor Kits, but with a second compressor motor. These compressor are suited for serious off-roaders, and are capable of operating at 100% duty cycle without hesitation. The included IP55 brushless cooling fan is waterproof / dustproof and provides additional cooling for extended work. It can activate ARB Air Locker Differentials, inflate tires quickly, perform other air functions, and even run air tools when paired with an air tank.
